About the role
The Accounting & Tax Assistant Manager supports and works closely with the Accounting & Tax Manager in overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with PSAK and Indonesian Tax Regulations, and preparing audit and tax-related documentation. This role plays a key part in coordinating with internal teams and external parties such as auditors and tax authorities, while also contributing to strategic tax planning, compliance, and risk mitigation efforts.
What you'll be doing
Assist and be responsible to the Manager in preparing and analyzing monthly and annual financial statements.
Ensure that all accounting processes and financial reports comply with PSAK and relevant tax regulations.
Prepare data, documentation, and files for audit and tax purposes, both routine (annual) and ad-hoc.
Support the Manager in liaising with Tax Authority Officers and Independent Auditors, including during tax audits or reconciliations.
Respond to and analyze tax correspondence such as SP2DK or other official letters from the Tax Office.
Provide accurate and timely information related to tax compliance, planning, and risk mitigation.
Monitor updates in tax regulation and assess their impact on company operations.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and other divisions to ensure smooth financial and tax-related operations.
Supervise and coordinate accounting team members, supporting their tasks and performance.
Willing and able to travel to other provinces in Indonesia for business purposes.
What we're looking for
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
Strong understanding of Indonesian taxation, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
Experience working with audit processes and liaising with tax authorities.
Proficient in ERP / accounting systems (e.g., Accurate, SAP, MYOB, Acumatica).
Up-to-date knowledge of PSAK and Indonesian Tax Regulations.
Great to Have
Brevet A & B Certification.
Good command of English (written and spoken).
Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Experience in the logistics, shipping, or related industries is a plus.
