Purpose Credit Team
Ensure the seamless delivery of Aster group’s credit policy driving the right balance of risk and reward. Continue to drive the optimization and standardization of activities to ensure efficient and affordable delivery.
Accountabilities
- Execute and safeguard Aster’s credit policy with internal and external stakeholders
- Performing counterparty evaluations and risk assessments, proposing appropriate credit limit recommendations, and advising commercial stakeholders on credit risk appetite
- Advising and negotiating collateral requirements and security needs from Aster customers including but not limited to Letter of Credits and bank guarantees issuance
- Support trade finance operations include Letter of Credit clause advisory, communicating with advising bank, and coordinating with various stakeholders in the trade finance workflow
- Assisting in design and development of future credit risk capabilities and system requirements, including implementation of S4 Hana ERP
- Risk monitoring of a regional trade portfolio in terms of payment performance
- Work on other finance improvement projects assigned by Aster controller’s group
- Be responsible for partnering with and providing advice to internal Commercial and Finance stakeholders, as well as external customers or other counterparties where applicable.
Skills & Requirements
At least a Diploma or preferably a bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 4 years full time work experience in a similar role in the energy / commodity trading industry or supporting a bank’s energy / petrochemical desk.Strong knowledge in International Trade Finance rules, especially on Letter of Credits, commercial terms, clauses and interpretation from banks in different countries and their implications.Ability to assess industry risk and external market and support sales / Business with appropriate response (currency crisis, debt crisis, etc).Ability to provide a more innovative and practical financing solution to help the Company manage credit risk, working capital, and support the Company to grow profitably with excellent knowledge of the market, competitors and local banking infrastructure.Strong resilient in change management and good stakeholder management skills.High level of interpersonal, specifically communication and writing skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities of daily tasks and projects.Exhibits strong integrity, teamwork and trust attributes.Good proficiency in Business English.If you’re ready to bring your skills to a dynamic environment where your work makes an impact across industries and borders, we’d love to hear from you.
