AYANA Hospitality is seeking a skilled and dedicated Duty Engineer to join our team at AYANA Midplaza, Jakarta. The Duty Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of the hotel's engineering systems and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient stay for our guests. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence in service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the engineering operations of the hotel, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of all systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
  • Perform daily inspections of all hotel equipment and systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Supervise and support engineering staff during shifts, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding safety, environmental policies, and hotel procedures.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a hotel engineering role or similar environment.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical systems are a plus.
