Job Summary :

We are seeking a talented and motivated Biopharm Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities :

Overall purpose of job

  • To develop Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) direct customer sales for Biopharm sector in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia and its vicinity
  • As a key point of contact for customers, answering queries, discussing with the end-users for URS development, providing technical advice and introducing new products
  • To visit customers, promote, understand, trial, and provide solutions
  • To liaise and grow existing WMFTS customers in Biopharm sector within Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
  • To provide customers the most suitable pump / equipment selection for the required application
  • To rapidly market and grow WMFTS products to new prospects in a strategically planned manner
  • To offer solutions that satisfies any application / budget / timescale constraints in line with customers’ needs
  • To grow and develop new customers base for Biopharm sector.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Aggressive marketing by visitations to new and existing customers
  • To maintain updated opportunities pipeline tracking constantly through CRM
  • To record visit reports / appointment through CRM
  • Response to all emails and handling request promptly
  • Contact with customers for consultative selling, focus on the client’s problem and show how it can be solved with product or services
  • Describe the product and advise customers on how best to use the products or services provided
  • Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
  • Accountable to monthly orders target and actual intakes.
  • Having a thorough understanding of the targeted industries
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to existing customers and prospective customers
  • Demonstrate to customers by value proposition that our product or service will best satisfy their needs
  • To provide customers and potential customers with accurate technical information sufficient to enable sound decisions to be made on the purchase and use of WMFTS products.

  • To provide detailed quotations both for standard and engineered solutions
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Provides product, equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests promptly.
  • Report on performance against targets, forecasting, competition, key market information’s and any complain from customers.
  • Develops in-depth knowledge about customer history, organization relationships, competitive issues, potential opportunities and transfers this knowledge to the organization for use in business maintenance and growth
  • Ensure all associated files both electronic and hard copies are kept up to date, including client contact data
  • To regularly attend and conduct the selected exhibitions and provide necessary market reports / trends
  • Accept any special projects or tasks as required by the Management team
  • Skills / Experience :

    Interpersonal Interaction Requirements :

  • Able to communicate both written and verbally in English and local language.
  • Able to present to customer / colleague in Power point slides
  • Foster close working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Understand the customer needs, responsive and attentive
  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Working in a largely unsupervised manner
  • Working within procedural guidelines in a methodical manner
  • Proactive with strong decision making, persuasion, leadership and communication skills.
  • Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Formal relevant degree on Pharma / Biopharm, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering
  • Excellent sales track record, preferably from the pumps / machinery
  • Advanced English and Bahasa Indonesia writing / reading / speaking competencies
  • Possess extensive knowledge of Bioprocessing, applications, components, functions, and the scientific process that make system work
  • Special qualifications

  • Negotiation skills
  • Results and growth orientated
  • Sales, communication and presentation skills
  • Technical skills such as process knowledge of Biopharm sector, products being sold, including knowledge of the plant functions
  • Understand the scientific processes that make the products work
  • Ability to assist customers with any technical problems
  • Good relationship and collaboration with Biopharm associations
  • Computer competencies required for this position

  • Computer literate, . : MS-Office, MS-Teams and other related computer program
  • Able to use Outlook for e-mail and appointment tracking purposes
  • Able to use CRM
  • Must continue to grow with existing and upcoming technology in an effort to become increasingly efficient
  • Specific requirements for completing essential functions of the position :

  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally within Indonesia as required
  • In a periodic manner, the ability and willingness to travel regionally and internationally for training and conferences as required
