Key Responsibilities :
This position has responsibility to support organization in promoting impactful stories, high level organization profile, programme implementation to media channel (online, offline) to raise public engagement and brand awareness in routine activities and emergency response context.
Strategy Development & Planning
Develop strong relationship with media, by conducting formal and informal meetings and distributing regular media release & updates about WV program activity.
Develop yearly integrated plan to engage media with exposing WV activity in different context with various activities : courtesy visit to media, media gathering, media visit, etc.
Design media relations activities (including prepare Press Release, Press Conference, Media visit, etc)
Prepare Public Relations documents including press release, brief docs, articles, and others tools to expose the WV impactful stories focus on National Level.
Active pitch an article to the targeted media as the key element to build relationship and organization brand positioning.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
Monitor and analyse results from engagements
Prepare necessary collaterals for the engagements
Active monitoring the media publications to measure the effective message, channel to strengthen WV brand positioning.
Timely reporting all media activities monthly
Maximize the media coverage of WV program in our owned media channel to maximize the publications
Active pitching in Emergency Response context
Networking & Coordination
Involve in Media / PR Forum community to enlarge media networking
Expose WV ambassador & celebrity to strengthen WV branding & positioning to the target media
Capacity Building
Implement Public Engagement & Communications capacity building strategy and plan in close coordination with Operations, People & Culture and Regional Office.
Management & Leadership
Actively support enabling and positive team environment where staff are able to develop their spiritual gifts and grow in Christian maturity.
Actively participate Christian leadership and support to enrich the organisation’s life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
The Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
2-3 years' experience working in a company / Public Relations Agency with scope function on Media Relations role or Public Relations
Have relationship in Media network.
Personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ, as expressed through WV’s vision, mission and core values
Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong writing and editorial abilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools
Excellent writing skills, with strong understanding of photographic and / or video skills preferred
Demonstrated ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
