Egis is an international company in engineering and services. It advises private and public clients in the fields of transportation, mobility, buildings, water, the environment and energy. More than 17. employees worldwide manage complex and innovative projects that shape the built environment. In South-East Asia, the Transport Planning & Mobility team undertake upstream projects such as feasibility studies, masterplans, audits, operational planning, urban insertion, costing and others. It is responsible for the data collection, planning, analyses, definition, and mapping and investment plans of mass transit, non-motorized transport and transit-oriented development projects. In defining the public infrastructure of tomorrow, the Transport Modeler works across projects for public and private clients, within teams of international and national experts (team leaders, senior experts, subject matter experts, engineers). The modeler participates to the completion of projects following international standards and coordinates with domestic and international teams as needed, by tackling technical, urban, socio-economic and engagement challenges.

Job description

• Under the direct supervision of Project Manager(s), the Transport Modeler is responsible to proactively assist the engineering teams by providing high-quality support in project activities, including :
• Overseeing the creation and consolidation of the network sub-models including road network (geometry & capacity), multi-modal public transport network (infrastructure & performances, accessibility, etc.).
• Lead the data management activities including travel behavior survey design and programming (for private and public modes), acquisition and management of socio-demographic & spatial data, etc. data Ability to compile, extract, combine, consolidate, and integrate datasets in various formats (e.g., excel, shape file, raster / tiff file, Google Earth, etc.) from multiple databases and sources (e.g., government documents, statistics, or any other open-source data). Use GIS for various transport network analysis and map visualization.
• Build and use models to forecast future traffic patterns and demand based on factors such as population growth, economic changes, and land-use developments. Conduct Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) to calculate the impact of new infrastructure projects on future traffic conditions; including scenario analysis to evaluate the potential outcomes of different transport strategies.
• Perform socio-economic analysis : NPV, BCR, time savings, time savings, cost-benefit analysis, financial feasibility, GHG emissions, etc. to measure the feasibility of a project.
• Contribute to and lead presentations internally (team) and externally (client) alike.

Depending on the level of experience, seniority, and project exposures, the successful Transport Modeler might be assigned the leadership role of supervising a team of Junior Transport Modeler(s) and Transport Assistant(s).
