We are pleased to share an exciting leadership opportunity with our client, a leading global chemical company with a presence in over 20 countries worldwide. The organization is a reputed manufacturer of Food Ingredients and Industrial Colors, known for its innovation, quality, and global reach.

They are currently looking to hire a Senior Sales & Marketing Professional to drive growth and strategic market expansion. Please find the key details of the role below :

Role Objective :

To lead and manage the Sales & Business Development function for the Food Ingredients vertical in Indonesia, driving business growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring profitability through strategic planning, market expansion, and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Indonesia market with a strong focus on food ingredients.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities with food processing companies, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to position offerings effectively.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead high-value client negotiations and ensure long-term account retention and satisfaction.
  • Act as the face of the business in Indonesia, representing the company at trade shows, seminars, and client meetings.
  • 3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and manage a high-performing local sales team.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and coach team members for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture with high levels of accountability and collaboration.
  • 4. Operational & Commercial Management

  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and production teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer service.
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and profitability to ensure commercial viability.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices.
  • 5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide regular business reports and market insights to senior leadership.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze gaps, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Use CRM tools and data analytics for tracking leads, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Key Requirements : : You should have hands of years of relevant experience in B2B Sales & Marketing, preferably in the chemical(or) food ingredients (or) food colors (or) industrial colorant industries (or) Flavors or Fragrances(or) Additives etc.

  • Strong exposure to international markets, particularly in Asia, or South East Asia
  • Proven track record in strategic sales leadership, key account management, and new market development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Qualification in Science / Chemical Engineering / Food Technology with an MBA in Marketing (preferred).
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia will be a plus.
