Main Responsibilities
Research, analysis and drafting
- In collaboration with colleagues, draft, or contribute to the preparation of, substantive papers, including synthesis reports, seminar proceedings, country case studies, analytical papers, speeches, internal briefings, talking points and official letters.
- Provide relevant background information to help inform strategic decisions regarding engagement with non-Member countries and OECD donors.
- Monitor political, economic, and social issues in ASEAN, and prepare briefings, talking points, and other materials.
- Liaison and representation
- Identify opportunities to develop new OECD projects in support of ASEAN’s economic and socio-cultural pillars, and support mobilisation of the necessary resources for their implementation.
- Regularly liaise with officials from the ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN Member States, as well as other stakeholders in Jakarta.
- Maintain a network with OECD ASEAN missions in Jakarta, other international organizations, and donors.
- Design and deliver high-quality capacity-building activities, such as seminars and workshops, on a variety of themes and for a variety of audiences.
- Help manage the Office’s communication strategies.
- Represent the OECD in meetings held within ASEAN, including speaking and moderating roles.
- Provide organisational and logistical support for OECD high-level missions to Indonesia, and assist in the organisation of meetings, conferences, and seminars.
Project design and implementation
Mobilise resources and voluntary contributions from the donor community or beneficiary countries to ensure the necessary resources for the implementation of the programme of work.Lead the design of projects, including the definition of objectives, the development of clear planning and delivery strategies, and the establishment of systems for monitoring implementation and assessing results.Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile
Academic Background
A postgraduate degree in economics, law, policy studies, or a related field.Professional BackgroundA minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, including in project development and execution.Strong knowledge of ASEAN’s regional integration frameworks, institutional architecture, and cooperation initiatives, including in both traditional and emerging policy areas.Solid understanding of Southeast Asian political and economic systems and their governmental functions.Strong project design, resourcing, management and project implementation experience.Proven experience in developing and maintaining a wide network of stakeholders, including for resource mobilisation purposes.Experience working in a national administration or an international organisation in support of senior management would be an advantage.Experience of working in a multinational team with high autonomy.Experience working in the region, and with ASEAN, would be an advantage.Core Competencies

Contract Duration
