Job Description :

• Supporting DGLT and subnational PIU with :
• Reviewing the existing bus operator industry,
• Detailing inventory of the affected operators (including vehicle and crew),
• Assessing financial performance of existing operations,
• Developing an old vehicle fleet disposal plan,
• Developing business models for integration into the BRT system,
• Developing a reorganization and engagement plan,
• Supporting DGLT and subnational PIU with implementation;
• Supporting as member of the PMC to work closely with the PIU / DGLT and local government to prepare and bid out the BRT-ME contract and service contracts for BRT bus services.
• Recommending the nature, objectives, deliverables and functions of the BRTME and BRT bus operators,
• Reviewing and providing specific comments on the draft terms of reference and contracts of the BRT ME and bus operator service contracts.
• Supporting the PIU / DGLT and working closely with them to :
• engage with transport industry stakeholders,
• gain their trust, and,
• enable them to organize themselves and participate in the bidding for bus service contracts (if desired by the industry stakeholders).
