Speechify’s products turn whatever you’re reading – PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, websites – into audio to help users read faster, read more, and remember more. The company’s text-to-speech products include its iOS app, Android app, Mac app, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Google named Speechify the Chrome Extension of the Year and Apple named Speechify App of the Day.

Today, nearly 200 people work globally in a 100% distributed setting. The team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and professionals from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. What You’ll Do

  • Lead key engineering and product decisions
  • Actively shipping production code for the Speechify iOS app
  • Work within a dedicated product team
  • Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
  • Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • Experience on products that scaled to a large user base
  • A track record of taking products from inception to traction and owning the engineering of the product
  • Customer obsession : a focus on delivering the best possible user experience
  • Product thinking : ability to guide product evolution and support internal teams and designers
  • Speed : ability to generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now vs. what needs more time
  • Focus : ability to work in a high-growth, remote environment
  • Technical skills : Swift, SwiftUI

    • Technical Requirements

  • Swift Programming Language
  • SwiftUI experience
  • Experience in multithreading programming
  • Experience with CI / CD infrastructure
  • Experience with Fastlane
  • Adherence to SOLID principles
  • Experience with Git and understanding of different Git strategies
