Uraian Tugas

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our data platforms. The ideal candidate will own database architecture strategy, ensure high availability and performance, drive scalability, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to support business requirements and data governance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the enterprise database architecture and data platform strategy.
  • Design, implement, and maintain logical and physical database models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
  • Architect high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and replication solutions.
  • Evaluate, select, and operationalize relational and NoSQL database technologies and data stores.
  • Establish database standards, best practices, and coding / review processes.
  • Implement data security, encryption, access controls, and compliance controls (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA as applicable).
  • Automate database provisioning, migrations, schema changes, and CI / CD for data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with application, data engineering, DevOps, and security teams to integrate database solutions with cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Conduct database health monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and lead database engineers and DBAs; drive cross-team knowledge sharing and documentation.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, runbooks, and capacity / roadmap plans.

Required Qualifications (Must-have)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and operating production database systems; at least 3–5 years in a senior or architect role.
  • Deep expertise in one or more RDBMS platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Strong experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and schema design for transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Proven track record of performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
  • Experience architecting high-availability, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of backup / recovery strategies and tools.
  • Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS / Aurora, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL / Spanner) and cloud-native architecture.
  • Proficiency in automation and infrastructure-as-code for databases (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and database CI / CD practices.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Bash).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)

  • Experience with NoSQL / datastore technologies (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and analytics (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL / ELT patterns.
  • Knowledge of streaming / event architectures (Kafka, Kinesis) and real-time data handling.
  • Experience with containerized databases and Kubernetes operators for stateful workloads.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Database Specialty, Oracle Certified Master, or relevant cloud / database certifications.
  • Experience with database security standards, encryption at rest / in transit, and auditing.
  • Experience leading a team of DBAs / engineers and mentoring junior staff.
