About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Staff to join our dynamic finance team at PT. Mitra Utama Plastindo in Surabaya, Java. As a full-time member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements and provide reliable financial information to support the company's strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and balanced
Analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to help the management team make informed decisions
Ensuring compliance with Indonesian Accounting Standards (SAK) and all other relevant financial regulations
Collaborating with the wider finance team to improve financial processes and controls
Providing support and guidance to junior accounting staff, mentoring and developing their skills

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or plastics industry

Excellent understanding of Indonesian Accounting Standards (SAK) and financial regulations

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Good knowledge in Indonesia's tax system
