Uraian Tugas

Join GROUPE ENVAL, a leading company in the field of laboratory analysis, accredited ISO 17025 on several parameters, based in the dynamic city of Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Our facilities are dedicated to advanced analyses in microbiology, physico-chemistry, contaminants (pesticides, traces of heavy metals, mycotoxins, etc.) agronomy and the environment. We provide essential tests for food, water, agricultural products, air quality, and other applications using the latest high-tech laboratory equipment.

Recruitment will be conducted locally but all positions are based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire)

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Analytical Specialist in Contaminants and Pesticide Residues to join a leading ISO 17025-accredited laboratory dedicated to high-quality physicochemical and residue analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the detection and quantification of chemical contaminants and pesticide residues in food, agricultural, and environmental samples using advanced analytical techniques.

This position is crucial to ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory frameworks and offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility committed to scientific excellence in West Africa, while being recruited from talent-rich regions in Southeast Asia. Your Key Responsibilities

Perform analysis of pesticide residues, heavy metals, and other chemical contaminants using :

LC-MS / MS

GC-MS / MS

HPLC , ICP-OES , ICP-MS

Ensure accurate, repeatable, and timely analytical results aligned with ISO 17025 quality standards.

Prepare and validate test methods according to international guidelines (e.g. SANCO, AOAC, Codex).

Interpret results, prepare analytical reports, and assess compliance with regulatory limits.

Maintain calibration, maintenance, and documentation of all instrumentation.

Collaborate with QA / QC teams to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to SOPs.

Participate in internal audits and method reviews as needed.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate has :

Advanced Diploma / D3 / S1 in Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, or related discipline.

3–5 years of hands-on experience in the analysis of pesticide residues or contaminants in a regulated laboratory environment.

Proficient in the use and troubleshooting of LC-MS / MS and GC-MS / MS systems (experience with Agilent, Sciex, Shimadzu, or Thermo systems is a strong plus).

Key expertise in Chromatography

Solid understanding of ISO 17025 and international pesticide residue regulations.

Strong laboratory documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred :

English proficiency (spoken and written); French is a plus but not required.

Experience in food / agriculture / environmental analysis under ASEAN or EU guidelines.

Familiarity with method validation, uncertainty estimation, and LIMS systems.

Willingness to relocate to Côte d’Ivoire and participate in capacity building.
