Responsibilities

• Provide advisory support and guidance to the WB business units on relevant rules and regulations, and help ensure that relevant procedures and processes are developed by the business and support functions.
• Collaborate with the Bank’s Compliance team to seek advice on regulatory subjects and ensure business units comply with Bank Compliance policies and guidelines.
• Review and provide advisory on foreign exchange transactions and underlying documentation for WB business units.
• Ensure compliance of significant and relevant compliance risks with applicable WB regulations.
• Define best practices / standards for managing major compliance / regulatory risks within WB, and work with WB units to implement policies, processes and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and assist in implementing / enhancing procedures and internal controls to strengthen the first line of defense.
• Address AML / CFT / Sanctions risk with WB business units and streamline review processes to drive business efficiency.
• Participate in AML projects and escalate product or process issues posing ML / TF / Sanctions risk to the Bank’s Compliance team per escalation protocols.
• Identify and work with analytics / data on system initiatives to increase operational efficiencies.
• Perform assurance reviews on compliance with regulatory requirements and Bank policies within the WB Business Unit.
