About the Role

As a Senior Manager of User Engagement at Gojek, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving active user growth through both performance marketing and CRM levers. You’ll be responsible for optimizing active user metrics and cost per active user, helping us deepen engagement and maximize retention efficiency across key business verticals. This role works closely with the Performance Marketing, CRM, and Product Growth teams to shape data-backed strategies that accelerate user activity and retention within the Gojek app.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end strategy and execution for active user growth via performance marketing and CRM initiatives.
  • Partner with BI, product, and marketing teams to analyze user activation and reactivation trends, identifying key opportunities to be tested via experiments.
  • Optimize cost per active user (CPAU) through continuous experimentation and ROI-driven channel management.
  • Drive campaign consolidation and audience segmentation efforts across marketing and CRM channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement growth loops that improve engagement consistency.
  • Translate insights from user data into actionable strategies, influencing both paid and owned-channel engagement.
  • Build frameworks and dashboards to monitor user engagement health across multiple lifecycle stages.

What You Will Need

  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing and growth, preferably from leading tech companies, marketplaces, or digital agencies.
  • Proven track record in scaling active users or optimizing engagement metrics via paid and owned channels.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics (CPC, CPA, ROAS) and CRM performance drivers.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams or influencing across marketing, product, and data functions.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with complex campaign structures.
  • Understanding of SQL is a plus.

    The User Engagement team at Gojek focuses on driving active user growth and retention across key business verticals. The team manages performance marketing and CRM initiatives end-to-end, optimizing user engagement metrics and cost per active user (CPAU). Working closely with Product, BI, and Marketing, the team analyzes activation and reactivation trends to identify and test growth opportunities. It also leads efforts in campaign consolidation, audience segmentation, and growth loop design to improve engagement consistency. Team members build frameworks and dashboards to monitor engagement health across all user lifecycle stages.
