Maintenance Engineer – Trim Cover Manufacturing (Automotive Car Seats)
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our trim cover manufacturing plant for automotive car seats. This role is an exciting opportunity for a young professional with 1–2 years of experience in maintenance engineering who is eager to grow, take responsibility, and contribute directly to the reliability and efficiency of our plant operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth maintenance execution, supporting production continuity, and driving improvements in equipment performance while developing your leadership and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, and corrective) to ensure machine reliability and minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyze issues, and provide effective solutions to support continuous production.
- Manage maintenance schedules and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards.
- Support the implementation of maintenance systems and improvement initiatives (TPM, Kaizen, or similar).
- Supervise and guide technicians, fostering teamwork and ensuring safe working practices at all times.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Take initiative in problem-solving, providing clear recommendations, and making decisions to secure equipment readiness.
- Report maintenance performance, key findings, and improvement actions to supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.1–2 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment ( automotive manufacturing industry preferred ).Hands-on experience in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and execution.Proven ability to lead and coordinate a small team.Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.Ability to manage tasks, schedules, and reporting effectively.Good communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across departments.Fluent in English (both written and spoken).Preferred Qualifications
Certified in CAD / CAM Software, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, BNSP, or other relevant certifications.Experience in labor-intensive or high-volume manufacturing is a plus.Seniority level
