Responsibilities
- 1. Develop policy and regulatory advocacy strategies in accordance with inputs from the various AFTECH Departments, AFTECH Board Members, Regulators, and based on the instructions of AFTECH Secretariat’s Public Policy Director.
- 2. Support AFTECH in meeting its role as the appointed association for Financial Sector Technology Innovation (ITSK) as mandated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
- 3. Ensure the implementation of AFTECH policy and regulatory advocacy strategies in a quality and targeted manner, including : facilitation and management of AFTECH Departments; preparation of regulatory reviews, policy briefs, and / or other related reports; implementation of pilot projects and / or other projects relevant to priority issues of AFTECH Departments; as well as provide support for the organization of AFTECH events through collaboration with AFTECH Secretariat’s Marketing, Communication and Community Development team.
- 4. Facilitate and provide technical support for the preparation of various fintech industry standards and / or codes of conduct and its related implementation strategies.
- 5. Collaborate with AFTECH Secretariat's Marketing, Communications and Community Development team in organizing various activities that improve the quality of Indonesia’s fintech ecosystem, including : fintech professional certification and accreditation for fintech providers.
- 6. Support the development of fintech industry statistics (outside of fintech payment systems and P2P lending) and their periodic publications.
- 7. Support collaborations with relevant domestic and international stakeholders in order to strengthen advocacy strategies, including with : government agencies, AFTECH members, other financial services providers (both banks and non-banks), and academics - both domestic and international - in an effort to achieve the objectives of policy and regulatory advocacy.
- 8. Take responsibility for the administrative functions of the above related matters.
- 9. Carry out duties and responsibilities in good faith and prudence in the best interests of the advocacy and policy processes by considering various risks relevant to AFTECH in decision-making and action-taking.
Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy or other relevant field.At least 8 years of relevant cumulative public policy experiences working within the financial industry, consultancy, technology industry, government and regulatory agencies, or think tanks.Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing for proper Bahasa Indonesia, same goes to English.Necessary skills to thrive in a tech start-up world, including the ability to work independently, lead without authority and work effectively within an ambiguous, rapidly changing landscape.Capability to build and maintain excellent relationships with high-ranking governmental authorities, research / academic institutions, community or industry influencers, and other third parties who may have significant influence on public policies.Proven ability to conceive, analyze, develop and execute medium-to-long term strategies and campaigns to deal with complex issues of technology, policy and law, involving multiple issues and players.Good network and relationship with key policy makers and regulatory stakeholders in Indonesia related to financial services, fiscal or economy is a big plus.Background in consulting firm, financial institution, fintech, or heavily regulated industries is preferred.Must be able to work independently, organized and result oriented.Job Details
