As a Project Engineer , you will join a dynamic and diverse team, contributing to projects that make a meaningful impact on society. You will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants, gaining exposure to a wide range of geotechnical and civil engineering challenges while building your career in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project management activities, including scheduling, progress tracking, coordination with stakeholders, and documentation.
- Assist in the planning and execution of site investigations, including soil sampling, borehole logging, and in-situ testing. Support the analysis and interpretation of field and laboratory data to inform geotechnical design and recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers in developing design solutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and client presentations.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects, if needed.
- Engage in multidisciplinary project teams to develop innovative, sustainable solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to NIRAS' standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).With a Bachelor's degree : 4–6 years of relevant professional experience.With a Master’s degree : 0–3 years of relevant professional experience.Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical design.Familiarity with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, gINT, GeoStudio, etc.Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar) is an advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design tools is an advantage.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.Willingness to travel and participate in fieldwork, both locally and internationally.A proactive, self-motivated attitude toward learning and career development.Why NIRAS?
