The Chief Security is responsible for providing, administering, and maintaining effective security and loss prevention programs to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and assets at Capella Ubud, Bali.
This role ensures all security operations are conducted in a courteous, professional, safe, and efficient manner, in full compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, while maintaining the highest level of service excellence.
Plan, manage, and oversee all security operations and loss prevention programs across the property.
Review and evaluate security measures, procedures, equipment, and methods at least quarterly to ensure effective preventive and protective controls.
Maintain strict security control through regular patrols, monitoring, and walk-through inspections of the entire hotel premises.
Monitor and identify suspicious activities involving individuals entering, exiting, or loitering within hotel areas.
Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all preventive safety measures.
Liaise closely with police and local authorities on matters related to crime, gambling, drugs, abuse, theft, robbery, death, and special security requirements for events.
Advise management on preventive measures against fraud, cheating, and other delinquent activities.
Ensure regular self-audits, security checks, and internal meetings are conducted and documented.
Chair Safety & Security Committee meetings and enforce hotel-wide safety programs.
Organize and lead departmental safety committee meetings and actively participate in other required meetings.
Develop, review, and communicate emergency procedures to key personnel and associates.
Personally handle and investigate all serious incidents, including accidents, fire, theft, and loss, and manage all related correspondence and reporting.
Manage incidents involving unruly guest or associate behavior, including crowd and traffic control when required.
Coordinate and monitor the effectiveness of all safety and security programs, including lost and found procedures, key control audits, chemical safety, CPR and fire preparedness training, Manager on Duty schedules, and evacuation drills.
Assume full responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing fire drills, including comprehensive staff training.
Education & Certification
Minimum Senior High School education
Gada Utama certification or official license from the Regional Police is required
Experience
Previous experience as a Chief Security or similar leadership role within the luxury hospitality market is highly desirable
