General Description Brand Manager plays a central role in driving brand growth and relevance within the general trade (GT) channel.
This position is responsible for end-to-end brand management, from strategy formulation to execution, ensuring that brand initiatives align with consumer needs, trade dynamics, and company objectives.
The role will collaborate closely with sales, trade marketing, and product development teams to design impactful campaigns, optimize portfolio performance, and secure long-term brand equity in highly competitive FMCG categories.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement brand strategies and annual marketing plans tailored for the general trade channel.
Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and gaps in GT.
Manage brand portfolio performance, ensuring profitability, relevance, and consistency across all GT touchpoints.
Design and execute below-the-line activation programs and trade campaigns to strengthen in-store visibility and consumer engagement.
Collaborate with trade marketing and sales teams to ensure proper brand representation in distributor and reseller networks.
Oversee the launch of new products or variants in GT, ensuring readiness across pricing, positioning, and channel execution.
Track and evaluate brand performance using KPIs such as market share, sales growth, and campaign effectiveness.
Manage relationships with creative, media, and activation agencies to deliver impactful brand communication.
Ensure brand compliance with company guidelines, legal requirements, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 6–8 years of marketing / brand management experience, with at least 3 years in FMCG or general trade environment.
Proven experience in managing end-to-end brand development, including product launches, campaign execution, and performance measurement.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with ability to turn insights into actionable plans.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Creative problem solver with strong leadership and project management ability.
