Smelter Operation Readiness - Chief Accountant Sales Finance

Overview

Coordinate overall activities related to sales finance accounting activities for Smelter and PMR business operations, including monitoring the sales activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial aspects of sales activities are properly managed and reported financially to be used for effective decision-making to support sustainable financial operations of PTFI Smelter.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Sales Team for Smelter and PMR Business Operation to assess and communicate issues, risks and opportunities related to Sales Finance.
Review revenue balance for monthly closing purposes.
Monitor completeness of sales recognition on a monthly basis.
Review product sales trend analysis on a monthly basis.
Strengthen controls related to sales transactions.
Prepare and review sales-related financial reports, including sales revenue, cost of sales, and gross profit.
Assist in generating sales performance reports and analysis to support sales team and management decision making.
Be actively involved in innovation plans by providing financial information and analysis of each alternative.

Key challenges

Strong understanding of end-to-end process in Sales Area.

Prevent issues within the area that will negatively impact the company\'s business.

Qualifications

S-1 (bachelor) in Management / Finance / Accounting.

Deep knowledge in internal control functions and related regulations within the Company’s business such as FCPA, government and tax regulation.

Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting of a multinational company or a managerial position as an internal / external auditor with proven managerial skills and work experience in an international public accounting firm.

Fluent in English and Bahasa.

Good computer skills.

Good communication skills.

Strong cognitive thinking to solve problems.

Good managerial and organizational skills to lead the section.

Good interpersonal skills to deal with banks and other external parties.

Strong motivation and independent creativity in approach to solving tasks.

Experience with SAP Financial system.

Good knowledge of PSAK and IFRS.

Other standard and mandatory competencies.
