Overview

We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic leader to join Havas Moonfolks Indonesia as Head of Strategy — someone hungry to shape bold ideas, lead high-stakes pitches, and drive measurable impact for some of the region’s most exciting brands.

As part of the Havas Village model, you’ll collaborate across disciplines, including close partnership with our specialist teams :

  • Havas Market – where commerce, content, and data collide to drive performance across the full purchase journey.
  • Havas Play – our gateway to fandoms, gaming, music, and experience-led media that taps into passion points and cultural moments.
  • Havas CSA – our data and decision sciences powerhouse, unlocking precision targeting and predictive insights for every brief.

You’ll also play a pivotal role in championing the continued rollout of Havas Converged , our proprietary, data-integrated operating system that seamlessly unites media, content, and commerce. It’s a rare chance to shape how performance and creativity come together under one powerful, future-facing model — transforming how brands connect, convert, and grow in today’s fragmented landscape.

Lastly, you’ll also work closely with our creative partners at Moonfolks Indonesia , ensuring integrated thinking that fuses brand, media, and culture into every idea we take to market. Strong collaboration and shared ambition across the Village will be key to success in this role.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in strategic planning, ideally across both creative and media environments
  • A proven track record leading pitches and complex, multi-channel strategy projects
  • A strong point of view on Indonesian consumers, brands, and culture
  • Deep familiarity with data-led strategic planning (media, brand, digital, consumer)
  • Exceptional storytelling skills — both written and verbal
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and a love for mentoring others
  • Responsibilities

  • Work together with business teams and clients to establish their business & communications objectives; align closely with team and collaborate in developing end-to-end strategy-led comms solutions
  • Lead media strategies for new business pitches
  • Analyse existing data, market reports and trends to generate compelling strategic insights as the basis for media strategies
  • Collaborate closely with research, data analytics and media to develop, manage and analyse key projects
  • Develop and lead workshops, both internal & with clients
  • Help create an environment of quality strategic thinking across the entire agency
  • Contribute to the development of award winning work
  • Represent the agency in thought leadership papers or events
  • Drive best practice on strategic planning across different teams
  • Develop & train planning tools and process of planning within Mx framework (Havas planning framework)
  • Improve capabilities to spot & showcase award winning work
  • Skills & Requirements

  • Relevant degree in marketing, communications, or other relevant disciplines; or relevant work experience in media / branding / consultancy
  • Background – Media strategy, digital strategy, communications planning, new business / consulting ideally with media agency experience, min. 8-10 years
  • Strong understanding of tech platforms and how we can use data from these platforms for insights
  • Experience delivering actionable strategies; good storytelling in verbal and written form, especially presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Strong leadership qualities, attention to detail and delivery to deadlines
  • General interest in wide spectrum of topics and media trends
  • Must be confident and approachable, helpful and easy to work with
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
