Sr. Cloud Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Cloud Engineer is a stakeholder-facing role responsible for leading the design, prioritization, and delivery of end-to-end cloud solutions. This role provides technical leadership, mentors team members, and ensures cloud best practices are consistently applied across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops and translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures
• Design and oversee cloud solutions covering governance, security, networking, billing, and operations
• Provide technical leadership and guide multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and internal stakeholders
• Promote cloud adoption and enforce cloud best practices across all deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in operating cloud and hybrid environments
• Proven experience in cloud security, networking (firewalling, routing, DNS), and operations
• Advanced experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and microservices architectures
• Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and enterprise systems
• Experience with identity management (LDAP, Active Directory) and cryptography (TLS, PKI)
• Background in IT consulting and stakeholder management
• Ability to manage multiple projects with clear prioritization and delivery focus

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Willingness to obtain two GCP certifications within the first three months
