Senior Backend Engineer, Node.js + AWS

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join a high-impact engineering team building scalable and reliable systems for a fast-growing SaaS platform. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing backend services that support global-scale operations. Working in a collaborative and fully remote environment, you'll contribute to critical initiatives that enhance performance, reliability, and customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex challenges, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and shape the future of distributed software systems.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and AWS technologies
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless and efficient solutions
- Participate in product discovery, planning, and deployment phases of the software development lifecycle
- Optimize systems for high transaction volumes, ensuring robustness, concurrency, and fault tolerance
- Implement clean, maintainable, and secure code following software engineering best practices
- Continuously improve system performance and scalability through proactive problem‑solving and testing
- Drive engineering excellence by mentoring peers, reviewing code, and contributing to architecture discussions
