What you’ll do

As an SAP FICO Functional Expert, you’ll drive finance transformation by collaborating with different departments to design robust SAP FICO configurations that streamline workflows. You’ll lead implementation projects from start to finish, deliver interactive training sessions, and produce detailed documentation to enable teams to maximise the value of new systems. You’ll troubleshoot proactively and continuously seek improvements to deliver lasting business benefits.

Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and craft tailored SAP FICO solutions that fit organisational needs.

Lead full SAP FICO module configuration and implementation, ensuring smooth integration with other systems and adherence to best practices.

Provide guidance throughout project lifecycles—from scoping and blueprinting to realisation, testing, go-live support, and optimisation.

Create comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, process flows, user manuals, and training materials.

Facilitate end-user workshops and training to maximise adoption of new SAP FICO features.

Troubleshoot system issues with IT and users to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions.

Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement as business needs evolve.

Support internal audits with data extracts, system reports, and clear explanations of financial configurations to ensure compliance.

Stay up-to-date with SAP FICO developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes relevant to manufacturing or FMCG sectors.

Qualifications

To thrive in this energetic environment, you’ll bring hands-on experience with end-to-end SAP FICO implementations in FMCG or manufacturing settings. You should have strong communication skills to bridge IT and business teams, enjoy knowledge sharing, and maintain a methodical, detail-oriented approach with a focus on continuous learning.

Demonstrated experience configuring and implementing SAP FICO modules within FMCG or manufacturing environments.

Comprehensive understanding of core finance processes (GL, AP / AR, Asset Management, CO, cost / profit centre accounting) and integration with other SAP modules.

Proven ability gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into actionable designs.

Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose issues and propose practical solutions.

Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Experience developing clear documentation including functional specs, test scripts, user guides, and training materials.

Commitment to staying current with SAP updates and relevant regulatory changes in manufacturing / FMCG.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
