Responsibilities

  • Advise the leadership team on legal and compliance matters critical to the growth of the business
  • Anticipate and plan for all legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks
  • Lead a team of associate and regulatory affairs specialist to ensure the reliable and timely execution of the company’s day-to-day legal and regulatory affairs activities
  • Draft, review, recommend revisions as needed across a range of legal documents and agreements, and / or negotiate on contracts with external partners
  • Conduct legal research pertaining to the company’s business operational activities to ensure the company is up-to-date with the latest legal changes
  • Developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws
  • Representing the company in legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required

Ideal qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in law (having a master’s degree is an advantage)
  • 8 - 12 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer at a reputable private practice firm and / or in-house legal
  • Demonstrable legal analytical skills, general business acumen and expertise
  • Excellent legal drafting and writing skills (both in Bahasa Indonesian and English language)
  • Experienced advising senior management / leadership team
  • Ability to navigate through regulatory challenges and strategize to find a solution to overcome such situation
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work well within the legal team and internal / external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
