Overview

Solutions Engineer – Jakarta Region for Kaliba, supporting customers, helping design solutions, and driving technical success for a technology company enabling event-driven data architectures at scale in Southeast Asia. They help enterprises build resilient, real-time systems that can move, filter, and process data across clouds and on-premises environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the technical expert and trusted advisor during the full customer lifecycle : pre-sales, onboarding, implementation, and support.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate them to solution designs using messaging, streaming, and event processing technologies.
  • Create architectural proposals, perform technical demos, POCs (Proof of Concepts), and pilots that illustrate product capabilities and fit to customer needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during the deployment or usage of the platform.
  • Help customers optimize performance, scalability, reliability of their event streaming / messaging systems.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to feed product requirements or feature enhancements based on customer feedback.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a Solutions Engineering , Pre-Sales Engineering, or Customer Success Engineering role (ideally in middleware, event streaming, messaging, or distributed systems).
  • Strong technical background : familiarity with messaging systems (e.g. MQTT, WebSockets, AMQP), streaming / data-pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with designing, deploying, operating scalable systems; ability to do troubleshooting, performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency helpful. Comfortable presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within Indonesia / SEA when needed and to work flexibly across time zones.

  • Experience with real-time event processing / stream processing frameworks (e.g. Kafka, Pulsar, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure tooling (IaC, containerisation, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with security and compliance considerations for enterprise deployments.
