Field Application Engineer, PD - Eaton

What You’ll Do

  • Promote Eaton products and containerized solutions (PDA system) requested by regional or local customer group & consultants.
  • Develop attractive Eaton solutions with competitive pricing for Sales, Partner, Consultant, and End Users.
  • Provide technical solution and proposal advice to support securing the Tender or succeeding in the Tender Interview / Clarifications.
  • Build technical knowledge shared in shared library for Power Distribution Assemblies product (MV (AIS / GIS), RMU, TX, LV and Busway).
  • Provide and maintain a good service and support level to customers & consultants to achieve customer satisfaction and higher hit-rate.
  • Conduct Product & Solution sharing (internally & externally), specify Eaton brand and its products and solutions to influencers and decision makers.
  • Align with EA FAE strategy plan to enhance the PDA support capability within regions.
  • Support Sales and stakeholders in Tender Bidding, such as guidance on Compliance Spec and liaison with factory for best solution offering.
  • Constantly feed back to factory on market trend and competitive product gaps, if any, to help improve the R&D development direction.
  • Possess decent knowledge of containerized solutions involving PDA, Mechanical Cooling and Ventilation system, Fire & Sprinkler system, and DCIM knowledge (advantages).
  • Know-how of Containerized system integration works in design stage.
  • Critical thinking and experience in identifying post-sales PDA issues during installation & commissioning; work closely with Service & factory team to resolve PDA post-sales issues.
  • Occasionally travel to assist in PDA Tender & Presentation, if required within EA regions.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Committed & responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) :
  • Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Provide necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS.
  • Communicate to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS requirements.
  • Ensure the QMS meets its goals.
  • Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, major in engineering.
  • 10+ years related experience in power distribution product & marketing.

    • Skills

  • Significant Electrical & Mechanical Product / Services Knowledge.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of challenging circumstances.
  • Significant experience utilizing Value Added Selling techniques.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Takes initiative and instils confidence in peers and sales personnel.
  • Knowledge of medium voltage, low voltage products and systems as well as control and electrical design.
  • Strong Time Management Skills.
  • Strong Presentation / Training and Communication Skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
