Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers responsible for delivering impactful features across one or multiple core banking products
- Drive the end-to-end development process from planning, design, implementation, testing and release
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the cross functional teams consisting of product and business stakeholders, engineers and QA in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Provide technical leadership by evaluating technical designs and driving architectural direction for their team
- Proactively monitor, suggest and implement best practices across engineering and operational excellence - observability, reliability, quality, performance, security, production support
- Regularly provide constructive feedback to team members to achieve their performance and development goals
- Actively participate in hiring and improving the onboarding and retention of new engineers
Qualifications and Experience
8‑10 years of total experience with 1+ year of experience in managing a team in a fast‑growing company, building and maintaining backend applicationsA growth mindset with passion for building things from the ground up, and most importantly, leading by examplePassionate about coaching and people developmentExperience using an agile iterative software development process with a strong hold on planning and executionExcellent written and verbal communication skills focused on improving collaboration, understanding and information sharing across cross functional and distributed teamsExcellent time management skills to prioritize and focus on value delivering initiativesAbility to think strategically and implement processes to lead the engineers towards excellenceHands‑on experience in programming, technical design, micro‑services development and event‑driven architectureExperience with backend technologies – Golang, Python, Redis, MySQL, NoSQL, SQS, Kafka, AWS services etc.Experience with tools – Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, bitbucket), Slack, DataDog, Grafana etc.Engineering & Maintenance Assistant Manager

About the role
As the Engineering & Maintenance Assistant Manager at SKK Jewels, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's facilities and equipment.
What you'll be doing
Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical equipmentCoordinate and supervise the work of maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure timely and effective completion of projectsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and minimise downtimeMonitor energy usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costsCollaborate with the production team to minimise disruptions and maintain optimal facility operationsEnsure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulationsContribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and proceduresWhat we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Machine, Electrical Engineering, or any related engineering majorMinimum 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the metal industryStrong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingUnderstanding the working principles of jewelry production machines (examples : plating, polishing, casting, etc.) is a plusGood leadership and communication skills (English proficiency)Proficient in using maintenance management software and toolsExcellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skillsAbility to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projectsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders#J-18808-Ljbffr
