Transport Analytics Intern

Job Description

The internship will revolve around the following tasks on technical assignments :

• Data collection support : Support the collection of primary (survey definition and monitoring support) and secondary (literature reviews and stakeholder interviews) data to assemble comprehensive and labelled datasets; Support the cleaning and consolidation of data aligned with the needs of senior engineering teams; Be responsible for the management and documentation of given datasets.
• Modelling support : Support the preparation of road and public transport networks in GIS; Support the definition and description of mobility scenarios and definition of related criteria and parameters; Support the provision of reliable data and if necessary, additional field observations necessary for the calibration of models; Support the preparation of scenarios and simulations, including results rendering and analyses.
• Mapping support : Support senior GIS specialists in preparing maps for existing and simulated situations (cf. modelling scenarios before; Support senior GIS specialists in mapping current and future land use; Apply existing template and practices in mapping as necessary.
• Reports and presentations : Contribute to the preparation of redacted reports (Word) and presentation slides (PowerPoint) as required to document the methods and results of the previous tasks; Support the preparation and delivery of presentation, including documenting meetings and recording minutes of meetings as necessary.
• Regular reporting : Report on all tasks to direct line manager as often as required; Be sensitized on ethical and performance practices and document any potential issue to line manager; Communicate actively with line manager and peers as necessary for the completion of tasks.
