Job description

Education :

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

A master's degree or HR certifications (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) may be preferred for senior roles.

Experience :

Several years (usually 3–5+) of experience in HR, with a background in recruitment, employee relations, or a specialized HR function.

Proven leadership experience, including managing or mentoring HR teams.

Skills :

Strong Communication : Ability to clearly communicate policies and procedures, and handle sensitive situations with tact.

Problem-Solving : Ability to address and resolve employee issues and conflicts effectively.

Organizational Skills : Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple HR functions simultaneously.

Knowledge of Labor Laws : Understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws, including employment standards and regulations.

HR Systems and Tools : Familiarity with HR software (e.g., HRIS systems), MS Office, and performance management tools.

Leadership and Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with management and lead HR teams effectively.

Personal Traits :

High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.

Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Recruitment and Staffing : Managing the hiring process, from job posting to interviewing and onboarding new employees.

Employee Relations : Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment.

Performance Management : Overseeing performance appraisals, setting employee goals, and implementing development programs.

Compliance and Legal : Ensuring the organization adheres to labor laws, regulations, and company policies.

Compensation and Benefits : Managing payroll, benefits programs, and employee compensation packages.

Training and Development : Identifying training needs, organizing development programs, and promoting continuous learning.

HR Strategy : Contributing to organizational goals by aligning HR practices with business objectives.
