The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities to drive sales growth and market penetration in Industrial segment especially in Mining & Oil Gas sectors.
This role focuses on promoting BlueScope’s premium coated steel products to key stakeholders, ensuring product specifications align with project requirements, and supporting the overall business development strategy.
Responsibilities :
- Articulate the value of BlueScope’s premium offerings to end users.
- Identify, engage, and build relationships with key decision-makers, including project owners, architect consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline, tracking projects from the prospecting stage to final document specification or confirmation.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, market insights, and project status.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, and technical teams) to align business development strategies with company objectives.
Qualification and / or experience required :
Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Civil or Architect.Minimum 5 years to work in project sales or specification or business development for industrial market segment in building & construction industry are preferred.Strong engagement with Architects Consultants, Project Owner and Contractors in Industrial segment especially in Mining & Oil Gas sectorsStrong communication skills, be able to write and speak confidently and clearly.Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD & Sketchup are preferred.Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.At NS BlueScope our success comes from our people.
