Join to apply for the Technical Consulting Engineer (HTE) role at Millennium Technology Services .

The CX HTE is a critical customer-facing role focused on leading customers’ business outcomes and maximizing loyalty and satisfaction through Cisco services and technical delivery. We seek an HTE to work with designated high-demand customers, ensuring they receive premium-level technical support services. As the liaison between the customer and Cisco support organization, you will track all touchpoints related to Cisco technical services, drive improvements, and ensure excellence at every phase of the technology lifecycle management. You will have significant exposure both internally and externally and will have the opportunity to impact customer experience. The candidate is expected to have solid technical acumen in Service Provider’s Optical technology and to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • The HTE delivers technologies, solutions, and services that customers need to expertly manage their networks.
  • Act as Cisco’s face to the customer in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, delivering on commitments.
  • Be a creative problem solver, comfortable challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues.
  • Provide root-cause analysis at the network infrastructure and application level and produce detailed technical reports with findings, next steps, and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review and analyze trends and assist in providing quarterly reports detailing corrective action plans for the next quarter.
  • Shorten time to resolution during complex situations by leveraging knowledge of the customer network and operations.
  • Leverage industry best practices and understanding of the customer’s infrastructure.
  • Set up weekly cadences to review technical issues.
  • Review historic customer data to identify trends and enable problem management.
  • Handle multiple customers remotely or onsite to meet stated needs.
  • Provide technical training to customers to upskill their operation’s team.
  • May work in shifts / on-call to support business needs.

Skills / Experience

  • Broad technical knowledge of data center components : applications, storage, network, server and related planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS server infrastructure (blade and rack), Cisco UCS Manager (UCSM) and UCS Central for centralized management.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM) on Cisco compute hardware.
  • Implement service profiles, policies, and templates for consistent compute provisioning.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Hyperflex configuration and management.
  • Working knowledge and support experience of Nutanix (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of Data Center Networking and Cisco components (NEXUS, UCS, etc.) that enable these capabilities.
  • Data Center L2 / L3 overlays (e.g., VXLAN, OTV, EVPN, LISP) is a plus.
  • Routing protocols and features (e.g., OSPF, ISIS, MBGP, IBGP, PBR, BFD).
  • Policy-driven external fabric connectivity (L2 / L3).
  • Ability to assess requirements and provide solutions within constraints; follow agile methodologies for fast solution delivery, testing, and value realization.
  • Executive-level presentation skills; able to communicate complex solutions to non-technical audiences to drive business outcomes.
  • Basic programming knowledge and ability to automate tasks, leveraging AI where possible.
  • CCIE DC is preferred.
  • Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS / EE preferred) or equivalent plus 8 years related experience, or MS in a technical field (CS / EE preferred).
