We are seeking an experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team for Data Centre projects in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in electrical engineering, specifically in the testing and commissioning of power generation equipment, including diesel generators and associated systems. This role is critical in ensuring that all systems and equipment meet local and international standards, including compliance with Indonesian regulations (SNI, PUIL) and PLN (State Electricity Company) requirements.
This is a 1-year contract position, with potential for renewal based on project requirements and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands‑on testing and commissioning activities including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indonesian regulations and standards during all testing and commissioning phases.
- Develop, review, and implement testing procedures aligned with customer specifications and local authority requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to power generation and distribution systems.
- Collaborate with EPC contractors, consultants, and PLN representatives to support grid synchronization and testing requirements.
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation, including commissioning reports, checklists, as‑built drawings, and operation manuals in both Bahasa Indonesia and English where necessary.
- Provide on‑site support during genset installation, testing, and final handover to clients.
- Coordinate with OEMs and factory teams to ensure alignment with local standards and testing protocols.
- Attend regular site and coordination meetings to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university (local or international).Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning of power generation systems or electrical infrastructure.Familiarity with Indonesian standards (SNI, PUIL) and international standards (IEC, IEEE).Knowledge of PLN approval processes and experience working on PLN‑connected systems is highly desirable.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a multi‑disciplinary team environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.Possession of relevant work permits or certifications (e.g., Sertifikat Kompetensi Tenaga Teknik Ketenagalistrikan (SKTTK)) is a plus.Willingness to travel to project sites across Indonesia, and potentially overseas for factory inspections.Additional Information
