Anypear is a headhunting and recruitment agency connecting New Zealand and Australian businesses with top overseas talent. We’re seeking a Youtube Creative Assistant to help our client’s Youtube Media business.

As a Youtube Creative Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of creative tasks with a focus on editing long-form video content. If you’re a creative and passionate video editor who loves creating engaging content and wants to make an impact on a growing media company, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage to create engaging YouTube content that aligns with existing brand identity (1 hr journalism, documentary style videos).
• Incorporate graphics, text overlays, B-roll, music, and sound effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
• Perform colour correction and audio mixing to ensure a professional final product.
• Design high-impact, click-worthy YouTube thumbnails that accurately represent the video content and entice viewers to click.
• A / B test different thumbnail designs to optimise performance.
• Stay updated on current video trends and YouTube best practices to improve engagement.
• Edit and repurpose long-form video content into engaging short-form videos for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
• Create simple, on-brand graphics for social media posts (e.g. announcements, quotes, snippets for static posts).
