Backend Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Software Engineer, Backend. You will work on the back-end of SPUN's platform. The day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing APIs for our web-based application, integrating with internal and external services, testing and debugging, and collaborating with team members to ensure code functionality and quality. This is an on-site role located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Expected starting date : May 2025

Working location : Jakarta, Indonesia (in-person), with hybrid of WFO (3 days a week) & WFA

Qualifications

Pursued a degree in Computer Science or related field

2+ years of experience with Python for backend development, using frameworks like Django

Experience with RDBMS database systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

Familiarity with Hexagonal design pattern

Familiarity with cloud provider like AWS or GCP

Knowledge and hands-on experience in Git

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Plus points : Hands-on experience in frontend development using Typescript / Javascript frameworks
