About the role
The Head of Operations at MOP Beauty is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring healthy inventory levels, cost optimization, supply chain efficiency, and logistics effectiveness. This role will also oversee procurement, import, and demand‑supply alignment, while partnering with Business Development to ensure smooth sell‑through and minimal inventory holding. The Head of Operations ensures profitability by maintaining financial health and optimizing operational efficiency across the end‑to‑end value chain.
Responsibilities
- Inventory & Cost Management : Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent impairment, minimize excess stock, and support timely sell‑through.
- Improve inventory accuracy and implement SOPs for inbound / outbound processes to reduce product loss.
- Ensure cost‑efficient sourcing, procurement, and warehousing to optimize profit margins (COGS reduction, proactive cost comparison).
- Conduct regular reviews on slow‑moving SKUs and push Business Development teams to accelerate sell‑out.
- Supply Chain & Procurement : Lead supply and demand planning, ensuring stock availability aligns with sales forecasts.
- Explore and engage with new suppliers (local and international) to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Manage direct importation of packaging and raw materials to reduce dependency and improve cost efficiency.
- Build strong supplier and forwarder partnerships (30+ local & international) to enhance operational resilience.
- Logistics & Fulfillment : Ensure 99% on‑time delivery for B2B and marketplace orders.
- Oversee end‑to‑end logistics operations (warehousing, shipping, last‑mile delivery) with proactive efficiency improvements.
- Drive implementation of clear SOPs for shipment, goods receipt, and QC documentation.
- Compare and optimize performance between internal warehouses and third‑party logistics providers.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Business Development to drive faster inventory turnover and product sell‑out; work with Product and Marketing teams to align operational readiness with new product launches and brand activations; provide regular operational performance reports and insights to BOD for strategic decision‑making.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum 5 years in Managerial role & preferably 8–10 years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics, ideally within FMCG, beauty, or consumer goods.Strong track record in inventory management, procurement, and cost optimization.Experience in import / export operations and supplier negotiations.Excellent leadership and team management skills with a hands‑on problem‑solving approach.Strong analytical and process improvement mindset; able to translate OKRs into measurable execution.Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence commercial teams to achieve operational goals.Seniority level
