About The Role
IIX is seeking a bold, strategic, and entrepreneurial leader to establish and head its ESG & Impact Advisory business unit focused on Corporates. This leadership role will build and lead IIX’s corporate-facing advisory practice across South and Southeast Asia, engaging with major corporates, regional conglomerates, and financial institutions to embed ESG strategies, impact measurement, and sustainability-linked finance solutions—including Orange Bonds—into their core operations. The role will work closely with IIX’s Research, Government Advisory, and Innovative Finance teams to help corporates develop Orange Bond issuance strategies, while ensuring ESG readiness, robust impact frameworks, and reporting using IIX’s proprietary platforms—IIX Values (impact verification) and IIX Intelligence (data analytics). This is a client-facing, business-building leadership position requiring an established network, deep expertise in ESG and sustainable finance, and strong capabilities in building new revenue streams from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include leading strategy development, market leadership, business development, and client delivery across targeted markets in Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, with a focus on embedding ESG and impact into core corporate strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and execution roadmap for IIX’s ESG & Impact Advisory business for Corporates. Drive business development and revenue growth across key markets. Leverage personal networks to initiate and secure corporate partnerships and long-term sustainability mandates. Develop advisory solutions integrating Orange Bond readiness, impact measurement, and ESG strategy.
Translate corporate ESG and sustainability commitments into measurable SDG-aligned actions. Design innovative financing mechanisms such as sustainability-linked loans, supplier financing programs, and outcome-based grants. Prepare clients for emerging ESG and climate and sustainability reporting standards.
Conduct deep-dive supply chain diagnostics (Tier 1–3) to assess gender parity, GHG emissions intensity, and climate resilience. Develop supplier improvement roadmaps and expedite the qualification of suppliers through the Orange Seal certification process. Align supply chain action plans with national SDG priorities and regulatory frameworks.
Lead corporate clients through the full impact lifecycle of Orange Bonds, focusing on embedding robust impact frameworks, monitoring systems, and reporting mechanisms throughout the process. Pre-Issuance Impact Readiness : conduct in-depth ESG and gender-lens diagnostics for corporate issuers and their supply chains, mapping bond proceeds to SDG targets and national / international frameworks. Collaborate with IIX’s Innovative Finance team to ensure alignment between financial structuring and impact commitments. Deliverables include the Orange Impact Framework and investor-ready impact sections for offering materials.
Ensure Orange Seal criteria are embedded for qualifying suppliers and value-chain partners. Validate KPI frameworks to align with market standards. Maintain coherence between transaction design and impact strategy.
Deploy IIX Values to capture and monitor real-time impact data. Produce annual Impact Reports and investor dashboards, and proactively flag deviations in KPIs for corrective actions.
Utilize aggregated Orange Bond impact data to advise regulators, exchanges, and policymakers. Publish thematic insights and thought leadership to inform policy development and highlight leadership in gender equality and climate resilience.
Integrate IIX Values and IIX Intelligence into advisory mandates to ensure robust ESG and impact analytics, monitoring, and reporting. Embed verification and reporting systems in client engagements for transparency and accountability.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of ESG and sustainability advisors. Ensure exceptional client service and high-quality project delivery. Lead multi-sector advisory engagements across industries. Lead the IIX Values and IIX Intelligence teams within the Advisory practice.
Represent IIX at regional and international forums. Contribute to thought leadership in sustainable finance and ESG investing. Collaborate with DFIs, regulators, financial institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders to drive systemic change and Orange Bond adoption. Advocate for inclusive finance, gender equality, and climate action.
