Technical Writer

What you will do :

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including QA testers, developers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and understand technical aspects of our products.
• Creating comprehensive and user-friendly documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, release notes, and API documentation.
• Ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all written materials, following established style guidelines.
• Conducting thorough research to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
• Participating in product development meetings and collaborating with team members to understand new features and enhancements.
• Working closely with the QA team to understand testing processes, methodologies, and results in order to accurately document software functionality.
• Reviewing and editing existing documentation to improve readability and usability.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and IT product development.

What you need to have :

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical writing role, preferably in an IT product development environment.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, including QA methodologies and practices.
• Experience working with JIRA or other project management and issue tracking tools.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Confluence, Markdown, or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to organize and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
