Requirements
- Knowledge of networking protocols (such as TCP / IP).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong understanding of DICOM, HL7, and PACS.
- Excellent understanding of generic networking technology (Hardware and Software).
- Knowledge of computer hardware (drives, memory, CPU, storage).
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Team player with initiative and drive to keep systems stable and efficient.
- BS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience. NAS / RAID configuration ability a plus, MS Certification Services a plus (not required).
- A+ Certification a plus (not required); NET+ Certification a plus (not required).
- Five years’ experience installing and administering UNIX systems in a 24×7 environment.
- Experience with Linux systems running web‑based applications.
- Ability to write shell scripts (bash preferred).
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of an Integration Support Engineer is technical integration and support for our customer base, both directly and indirectly. The role spans installation, configuration, support, and monitoring of all DICOM systems, ensuring seamless integration with other information systems across multiple healthcare facilities.
Successfully install, control, support, and monitor all DICOM systems technical projects.Perform configuration, support, administration, and clinical user training throughout the customer’s medical imaging enterprise.Integrate with other information systems across multiple healthcare facilities, including high‑latency, low‑bandwidth, and complex priority routing environments.Support DICOM, HL7, FHIR, RESTful services, and IHE cross‑enterprise integration.Provide all direct and indirect support to DICOM systems customers, including cloud storage configuration, management, and multi‑vendor training on imaging device installation, configuration, management, and service.Collaborate with internal teams and Healthcare IT / informatics departments at medical facilities, large and small.Work remotely while maintaining strong command of the English language and effective communication skills.Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold HIPAA privacy and security regulations, as well as company security policies.Maintain robust monitoring systems for proactive monitoring.Provide 24 / 7 on‑call support rotation for customers.Create and implement plans for deploying new hardware and VM systems, such as VMware, Hyper‑V, and cloud environments, and document deployment processes.Develop proficiency in the company’s software solutions, solution methodologies, and core technologies.Implement proprietary software to support DICOM, HL7, and medical image migrations.Verify software modifications, changes, and enhancements; submit test results to software development.Maintain and update internal databases, documenting interactions throughout the project lifecycle.Create process optimization improvements to enhance departmental offerings.Respond to customer inquiries quickly and maintain excellent customer service.Participate in all teleconference calls.Analyze software and hardware needs for upcoming projects.Develop comprehensive understanding of all services provided and be prepared to implement them at customer facilities.Job Details
