Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Strategy : Lead the engineering team (Software, QA, Data, and AI Engineers) in developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable platforms and solutions.
• Define and drive the organisation’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with Solve Education!’s mission.
• Champion the use of AI, automation, and advanced technologies to improve product performance and user experience.
• Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices across the team.
• Product Development & Innovation : Collaborate with product managers, designers, and program teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive the development of education technology platforms that are reliable, secure, and user-friendly.
• Experiment with emerging technologies to continuously improve product features and delivery.
• Ensure high-quality execution, from prototyping to deployment and scaling.
• Team Management & Mentorship : Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Provide technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure efficient allocation of resources and timely delivery of projects.
• Operations & Stakeholder Engagement : Oversee system infrastructure, security, and data protection.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and consultants.
• Represent Solve Education! in external technology briefings, events, and collaborations.
• Contribute to cross-functional planning, ensuring technology supports program and organisational goals.
