Purpose of role

Responsible for the development, maintenance, administration, and operations of systems supporting DHI’s projects in Singapore and APAC.

Key performance metrics

  • Successful end-to-end delivery of new features for Operational Systems
  • Continuous system and feature availability of Operational Systems
  • Meeting SLA metrics for internal stakeholders (primarily M&C)

Key stakeholders

The key stakeholders are the Development / Operations team in “Software Projects,” as well as Project Managers and Leaders in M&C Singapore.

Key responsibilities

  • Acquire a deep understanding of DHI’s operational systems to contribute to development and maintenance of features
  • Monitor system health, IoT data streams and data processing tasks
  • Maintain infrastructure on prem servers and cloud services
  • Perform essential operational tasks, including data acquisition, automating data processing, and running simulations
  • Documentation for security, policies, procedures and incidents
  • Reporting

    • The role supports the Development / Operations team to ensure mission-critical systems perform as expected, aiming for fitness-for-purpose and continuous availability, primarily supporting Marine & Coast business out of Singapore.

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience

    Education :

  • BSc or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

    • Experience :

  • 3-5 years in a role with similar responsibilities (e.g., developer, systems engineer and / or IT operations specialist)

    • Mandatory Skills :

  • Extensive experience in developing back-end and desktop software using C# / .NET
  • Proven expertise with database technology and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including Networking and MS Azure
  • Experience operating and managing applications in Microsoft Windows environments / Windows servers
  • Concepts of System disaster recovery (setup, configure and maintenance)
  • Other programming languages such as Python, C++, Visual Basic
  • Knowledge of Linux / Ubuntu
  • Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic simulation models or other mathematical modeling systems
  • Experience with MIKE Powered by DHI software is advantageous
  • Solid knowledge of GIS technology (e.g., ArcGIS or QGIS)
  • Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) technology

    • Desirable skills :

  • Additional programming languages : Python, C++, Visual Basic
  • Additional OS knowledge such as Linux / Ubuntu
  • Experience with hydrological and hydraulic modelling systems
  • Experience with GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) and MIKE software
  • IoT familiarity

    • Characteristics

    • Location & Mobility

    The role is based in our Jakarta, Indonesia office with regular travel to Singapore for meetings.
