Overview

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, qualification, calibration, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of NGS platforms and related instruments.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and performance of instruments.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of hardware, software, optics, sensors, fluidics, and networking subsystems.
  • Deliver technical training and user guidance to customers on proper instrument operation and routine maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with Applications Specialists, Sales, Product Managers, and R&D teams to resolve complex issues and support customer needs.
  • Document all service activities, maintaining accurate service logs, compliance records, and customer reports according to company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and service protocols.
  • Stay current with product updates, new technologies, and service methodologies, actively participating in ongoing technical training.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams regarding recurring issues, customer needs, and opportunities for product or service improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromedical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent technical experience).
  • Minimum 2+ years of field service experience supporting complex scientific instrumentation (e.g., NGS, qPCR, flow cytometry, LC-MS, or similar).
  • Strong technical skills in electronics, sensors, robotic mechanics, fluidics, optics & imaging systems, networking, and connectivity integration.
  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical abilities to diagnose and resolve hardware / software issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer training skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–70%) domestically and internationally.
  • Proficiency in English (written & spoken); additional languages are a plus.
