SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and providing technical support for Owen Oil Tools' perforating solutions within the Asia-Pacific region, focusing specifically on markets in Indonesia.
This role requires consistent direct interaction with customers to understand their technical needs, promote Owen’s specialized perforating products, and collaborate internally with sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clearly understand customer technical requirements, aligning Owen’s product portfolio effectively to customer needs.
Manage customer relationships by promoting Owen's perforating products, securing new business opportunities, and negotiating contracts.
Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to existing and prospective customers.
Serve as the main technical interface between clients and Owen’s internal departments, including engineering and manufacturing.
Analyze competitor products, strengths, and market positioning to ensure Owen’s competitive advantage in the Asia-Pacific market.
Ensure full compliance with Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Business Administration, or related technical discipline required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical sales experience within the oilfield services sector, specifically related to perforating or completions.
Strong background and technical understanding of perforating technologies, explosives handling, and related well-completion techniques.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Proven track record in technical sales and customer relationship management within the upstream oil and gas industry.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the capability to deliver technical presentations confidently.
Proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and make sound commercial decisions based on market dynamics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a technical approach to customer challenges.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability and willingness to travel within the Asia-Pacific region (approximately 30%). International travel beyond the immediate region may occasionally be required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and product details both verbally and in writing. Fluency in English required; additional local languages advantageous.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret technical data relevant to perforating solutions and well completions.
Ability to learn and run perforation related simulation models.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify and solve complex technical and operational challenges in customer-facing environments.
Demonstrates initiative in developing solutions tailored specifically to customer requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Valid passport required for international travel.
Relevant industry safety and explosives handling certifications preferred.
