Are you passionate about creating delightful, trend-forward collections for kids? As Head of Kids' Fashion Merchandising , you’ll lead the strategic planning and development of kids’ apparel assortments, focusing on fun, comfort, and innovation while meeting market trends and customer needs.
You’ll oversee the end-to-end product journey , from concept to store, ensuring collections are exciting, age-appropriate, and commercially successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic merchandise plans for kids’ apparel to achieve sales, growth, and margin targets.
- Make key decisions on product selection, pricing, and inventory control , with a strong focus on kids’ fashion trends and seasonal needs.
- Analyze market and trend insights to create innovative, relevant, and sustainable product assortments.
- Lead and mentor a team of Merchandising Managers and support staff to drive performance and collaboration.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to deliver high-quality, safe, and competitive kids’ apparel .
- Innovate merchandising systems to improve inventory planning and allocation accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.Currently at a senior managerial level with proven experience in fashion retail merchandising , preferably in kids’ apparel.Excellent commercial acumen , negotiation, and leadership skills.Strong expertise in end-to-end product development : trend analysis, concept ideation, collection building, production allocation, and go-to-market execution.Experienced in P&L management , driving sustainable growth while keeping products fun and kid-friendly.Company overview : Matahari is Indonesia's premier department store chain, holding a commanding 47.8% market share.
