From finance and HR to procurement, customer operations, and IT, our SSC is the backbone that keeps businesses running smoothly. One of our key areas of support is for Aster Chemicals & Energy (ACE) , a leading chemical and energy solutions provider in Singapore and the Asia Pacific. ACE combines the legacy of Singapore’s first oil refinery with cutting-edge petrochemical operations, jointly owned by Chandra Asri Group and Glencore , one of the world’s largest natural resource companies.

PURPOSE :

You will be the main liaison for our Indonesia-based financial controller team with Aster Group of Companies Controller team onshore. You will be managing a number of reporting officers with specialized finance skillsets that will cover AP, AR, Credit, Accounting, Governance, Risk & Assurance and Hydrocarbon management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Be a process expert and manage AP (Accounts Payables) and AR (Accounts Receivables, including revenue management and pricing) process frameworks for Aster Group of Companies with the help of business process outsourcing teams.
• Collaborate with other business onshore stakeholders to troubleshoot AP or AR issues.
• Act as a point of escalation for such issues to onshore controller team, by helping onshore team prioritize issues for resolution.
• Manage, develop, and improve Manual of Authority for Aster Group of Companies
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and controls across different finance processes for Aster group
• Lead the implementation of ERP to minimize financial risk exposure across Aster companies, especially for new entities set up
• Be a champion and lead several business process improvements initiatives that relates to AP and AR
• Manage subordinate development needs (e.g. on the job training, development program, coaching, career path, industrial relations, sharing session, etc.) based on gap competency and current and future job requirements. To ensure the suitability of subordinate quality and quantity with organization needs
• Manage and coordinate ad-hoc projects as assigned from the onshore controllers’ team
