Overview

The Customer Care team at Traveloka focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences. Bots and Communication Channels are key to this mission, including chatbots, generative AI, backend systems, third-party integrations, and monitoring tools to automate interactions and support through chat, email, and voice.

As a Software Engineer on the Bot and Communication Channels Customer Care Team, you will help build platforms that serve both Traveloka customers and internal users. You will design, build, and maintain systems that are maintainable, scalable, and extendable, staying current with relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, improve, and maintain chatbots, generative AI, backend systems, third-party integrations, and monitoring tools to deliver seamless customer journeys through innovative bot solutions and communication channels.
  • Work in cross-functional teams with Product Managers, Designers, Data Analysts, Customer Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing; contribute to solution and architectural design reviews.
  • Participate in on-call service support and incident response.
  • Contribute to innovation and problem-solving within the team.
  • Engage in the complete product development lifecycle : ideation, design, implementation, and support.
  • Be encouraged to speak your mind, propose ideas, influence others, and continually grow professionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or system development
  • Experience in designing data structures, systems (database, queue, cache, etc.) and architecture
  • Strong passion for software engineering and system development
  • Good understanding of software engineering concepts, design patterns, and algorithms
  • Experience with Java, Terraform, and AWS
  • Experience with Python is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
