Job Description

The Technology Consultant is a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s) of expertise, establishing communication and engagement with prospects about the portfolio’s capabilities and benefits. Deliver proof of concept, after‑sales support, and act as a trusted advisor to the sales organization and channel.

You are responsible for technical support in pre‑sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. The technology consultant will be the technical product expert within the sales organization for customer pursuits, enhance Distributor Specialist capability in areas lacking coverage, support commercial marketing activities, interface with Product Teams, support product and quality issues, provide post‑sales troubleshooting when needed, and act as a local interface with Tech Support.

Your Responsibilities

• Be the technical product expert and focal point in Indonesia for Power Control Portfolio such as Low Voltage / Medium Voltage Drives, Electrical Distribution, Motor Control Center (MCC), Motor Starters product range and Motion Control.
• Facilitate and provide product‑based training to the Salesforce and channel.
• Co‑operate with the Salesforce in promoting the product range to existing and new customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests or similar activities.
• Define and explain product differentiators and values versus competition.
• Analyze competitive products, have knowledge of competitor’s strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
• Participate in trade shows, seminars or similar marketing activities, offering demonstrations and product expertise with customers where needed.
• Support market access (Distributor and Systems Integrators) to ensure their capability in explaining the value and demonstration of RA products or technologies.
• Assist Business Lead in launch of new products to the Salesforce and channel.
• Validate and resolve compatibility issues of products within architectural solutions and provide guidance to customers / Salesforce.
• Seek out and participate in both training opportunities to develop technical skills.
• Update customers on new products and technology related to customer’s industry and application needs as a resource to the named account team.
• Provide product gap and development feedback to appropriate team.
• Share insights with peers.
• Interface with Tech Support on post‑sales product issues.
• Invest time in self‑enablement and be passionate about learning Rockwell’s offerings and solutions.
