Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled EDI & API Analyst to manage, develop, and maintain electronic data interchange (EDI) and application programming interface (API) connections between the company and its customers, vendors, and logistics partners. This role is essential in ensuring seamless data flow within a Microsoft Business Central environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building new integrations, troubleshooting data transmission errors, and maintaining the ongoing health and reliability of all electronic connections within Microsoft Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics NAV .

- Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with 1 hour unpaid break | Eastern Time

Side note : Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development & Management
Design, build, and implement new EDI and API integrations between Microsoft Business Central and external trading partners (customers, vendors, 3PLs, and carriers).Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define data mapping, communication protocols, and transmission formats.Ensure all integrations meet business and partner requirements for accuracy, timing, and compliance.Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Monitor and maintain existing EDI and API connections to ensure continuous, error‑free data flow.Diagnose and resolve transmission failures, data mismatches, and process interruptions.Coordinate with vendors or customers to resolve issues related to data or connectivity.Perform routine system checks, updates, and documentation of all integration processes.Identify opportunities to enhance automation and improve data accuracy within the Business Central environment.Collaborate with IT and Operations to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention.Stay current on EDI / API technologies and best practices within the Microsoft ecosystem.Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of experience in EDI and / or API integration development and support.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV) environment.Experience with common EDI transaction sets (850, 856, 810, etc.) and related standards (X12, EDIFACT).Familiarity with API integration tools and protocols (REST, JSON, XML, SOAP).Experience using middleware, integration platforms, or mapping tools (e.g., CommerceHub, TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce, Celigo, or similar).Skills & Attributes
