Scope of Work – Content Editor
Background :
The Brand and Communications Unit under the Business Development Department aims to deliver strong, impactful messaging across platforms to increase awareness, build engagement, and inspire action. To achieve this, high-quality and emotionally resonant content is essential. We are looking for a Content Editor (External Collaborator) to help craft clear, engaging, and consistent narratives for articles, social media, donor materials, and campaigns, while also supporting light visual formatting and layout design as needed.
Objectives :
- Ensure the delivery of strong and audience-appropriate written content aligned with Save the Children’s tone and branding.
- Transform stories, reports, and briefs into compelling articles, social media posts, and promotional content.
- Support the visual layout or design elements of content where needed (e.g. social media templates or article graphics).
- Maintain the quality, consistency, and emotional appeal of communication materials across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities :
Write and edit articles for the website, newsletter, donor communications, and awareness campaigns.Support Save the Children’s TikTok & Instagram content creation.Support layout formatting (e.g. for two-pagers, digital publications, social media post).Support video creation (e.g. for TikTok video).Assist with light design tasks such as resizing or adapting visual content in Canva, or PowerPoint.Ensure all content follows Save the Children’s brand voice, tone, and child-safe communication standards.Collaborate with internal teams to translate technical reports or field stories into engaging narrative formats.Understanding on Safeguarding in comms & media works and apply in day-to-day works.Deliver content based on agreed timelines and revision cycles.Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Design, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in content writing, editing, or content marketing.Strong writing and editorial skills with attention to detail and consistency.Ability to convert complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.Experience in layout / design using Canva, PowerPoint, or basic Adobe tools.Good time management, creative thinking, and communication skills.Previous experience working with NGOs or social impact organizations is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
